2019 Ford Explorer Redesign and Release Date
It is a year of “update” for the 2019 Ford Explorer. Although not much changes with the overall appearance of the vehicle, the 2019 model offers stylistic advances in technology as well as improvements in the powertrain. To increase fuel consumption, Ford again offers four-cylinder engines.
2019 Ford Explorer Exterior and Interior
Despite the lack of significant aesthetic changes, the Ford Explorer 2019 will present a redesigned bonnet, updated headlights and front grille several options. (The grid options depend on the selected finishing package). The only other visible change is the low-profile roof rack. Because of these minor improvements, and adding a new system Air Curtain, Ford said the 2019 model will be around five percent more aerodynamic than in previous years. The interior has reestruíram the front seats, which offer more comfort and more legroom for the passengers in the front and rear seat.
The technological characteristics of the vehicle have been conveyed to make transport comfortable experience for driver and passenger. The USB ports on the disk and console have been changed to smart load units. This allows portable devices such as mobile phones, loaded with greater speed and security. A new front view camera is offered, and the rear view camera is upgraded to 180 degrees. The help function in the park has been extended and now provides sensors for the front of the vehicle. And for the first time, the Explorer 2019 will offer the popular lift gate activated by the feet of Ford.
2019 Ford Explorer Engine Performance
Under the hood of the 2019 Ford Explorer, we can expect some news. The 2019 version of the four-cylinder engine will have a stronger engine in larger EcoBoost 2.3 liters. This will enable four-cylinder models with all-wheel drive. This is not a feature that Ford offered in the past few years and eventually led to low sales of 2.0 liters, front-wheel drive, four-cylinder versions. A further advantage of the stronger engine is an increased trailer load. The 2019 Ford Explorer have the option of hauling up to 3000 pounds on. The V6-3.5-liter V6 and the charged 3.5-liter EcoBoost will remain virtually identical to the previous model engines.
The Ford Explorer 2019 does not have any official announcement about what the estimated MPG will look like. However, it is expected that the 2019 models will come directly on the models of the last year. Version 2.3-liter EcoBoost, all-wheel drive and four-cylinder is expected to reach around 20 MPG city and 28 highway. This corresponds approximately to the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost, front drive, four-cylinder model.
